Job Description

  • Develop and implement effective sourcing strategies.
  • Manage and evaluate supplier performance and compliance.
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure advantageous terms.
  • To have a focus on HR, FM, Health & Safety and Mobile Plant categories.
  • Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking.
  • Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships with key suppliers.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth operational procedures.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and market conditions.
  • Assist in budgeting and financial planning for the Procurement department.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Buyer should have:

  • Relevant educational qualifications in Business, Economics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within the construction industry.
  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
  • Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques.
  • Proficiency in supply chain software programs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
