Job Description
- Manage the procurement of indirect goods and services to meet operational needs.
- To cover all indirect categories.
- To lead a lean team in the day to day responsibilities within indirect procurement.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure value and quality.
- Negotiate contracts and terms with vendors to achieve cost savings.
- Analyse market trends to identify opportunities for procurement improvements.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
- Collaborate with internal teams to understand and fulfil procurement requirements.
- Monitor supplier performance and address any issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier information.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Indirect Buyer should have:
- Proven experience in procurement or supply chain within the manufacturing sector is desirable
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Knowledge of procurement systems and processes.
- Ability to analyse data and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Have some experience or understanding of coaching and developing others
- Attention to detail and a focus on compliance and quality.
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
