Classroom Teacher - INDIGO is accountable for planning, resourcing and delivering highly effective lessons across an allocated timetable, leading effective tutor provision and contributing to curriculum development so that students make strong progress and achieve high academic standards.
The role combines responsibility for effective teaching and assessment with maintaining high standards of behaviour, safeguarding and curriculum implementation. You will also support students with SEND or additional learning needs through agreed strategies and interventions and work collaboratively with colleagues, students, parents, carers and external partners.

You will hold a good quality degree, a PGCE or equivalent qualification in secondary education and Qualified Teacher Status.
You will be a skilled classroom practitioner able to use a range of teaching approaches to promote learning, engagement and progress, with a commitment to overcoming barriers to learning and helping students achieve their potential.
You will communicate clearly and appropriately, establish positive professional relationships with students, colleagues and parents, and manage your workload effectively while meeting competing priorities.
You will be a positive role model who can inspire confidence and work collaboratively with support staff and colleagues. Good IT skills, confidentiality, flexibility, effective listening skills and a commitment to professional development are also required.
You must be committed to safeguarding, equality and promoting the welfare of children and young people, understand the importance of local safeguarding procedures and be suitable to work with children.
