Job description

Join us as our Facilities Caretaker and be an integral part of the "Jardin" community. As the "Jardin" community continues to grow and take shape, your position will evolve, taking on more responsibility. This is a permanent, full-time position, Monday - Friday, 7.00am - 3.00pm.

Position Description:
  1. Maintain and manage the community grounds, gardens, and recreation facilities, ensuring quality ongoing operational maintenance.
  2. Oversee and manage all contractors/service providers to ensure compliance with both legal and company guidelines, policies, and procedures.
  3. Manage routine and scheduled maintenance and safety requirements of facilities, equipment, and plant (i.e., test and tag, pool testing).
  4. Facilitate and manage all operational activities within budget.
  5. Engage and build strong relationships with homeowners.
  6. Manage community security.
  7. Actively participate in Caretaker meetings and completion of all relevant reporting as required.
Position Requirements:
  1. Experience working within a community/lifestyle environment such as Retirement Living, Caravan Parks, Commercial Facilities, Schools, Hotels, Motels.
  2. Experience in landscaping and/or garden maintenance is required.
  3. Demonstrated experience in general maintenance and amenity cleaning.
  4. A Certificate 3 in Landscaping or Horticultural studies would be advantageous but not essential.
  5. Strong communicator; you're a natural at engaging and building relationships.
  6. Hold a Commercial Operators Licence in compliance with the Agricultural Chemicals Distribution Control Act 1966 (ACDC) for weed spraying (however not essential, can be assisted in obtaining).
  7. Current General First Aid Certificate (or a refresher can be arranged).
  8. Current full driver's licence/own vehicle required for commuting to/from work.
