We provide services including custom index development, investable index products, index administration, and calculation services. Bloomberg indices leverage trusted reference data, pricing, and analytical calculations integral to the investment process.

What's the role?

We are seeking an Asset Owner Index Sales Specialist with deep understanding of index solutions used by asset owners across various jurisdictions in EMEA. This role involves driving the commercial strategy for Bloomberg indices in this client segment, working closely with clients, sales teams, and product management to deliver tailored solutions and identify new business opportunities. The position focuses on Pension Funds & Consultants, Endowments, Foundations & Universities, Sovereign Wealth Funds, Family Offices, and Insurance Companies, managing strategic accounts and collaborating with regional sales specialists to expand Bloomberg Index product adoption.

You will build and nurture relationships with key decision-makers in the Asset Owner community, offering consultative and commercially focused index solutions. Responsibilities include market sizing, prospecting, account management, and engaging in high-level discussions on Bloomberg index methodology and product development. Your insights will influence future index product strategies, requiring collaboration with various internal teams to develop client-centric solutions.

We'll trust you to:
  • Build senior relationships with top Asset Owners globally
  • Discuss Bloomberg index methodology and new product needs in depth
  • Enhance client awareness, usage, and adoption of Bloomberg Indices
  • Lead internal and external training sessions and sales presentations
  • Manage the sales process, including negotiations and contract finalization
  • Collaborate across teams to promote our solutions
  • Provide client feedback to improve products
  • Travel extensively to meet clients and prospects
You'll need to have:
  • Significant experience with indices and data in a client-facing role
  • Experience working with or selling to Asset Owners
  • Strong commercial acumen and sales track record
  • Ability to build and maintain client relationships
  • Excellent communication skills, including public speaking
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment
  • Creative marketing skills for a broad audience
  • Self-motivation and strong multi-tasking abilities
