Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments and evaluations of parents on safeguarding their babies.
- Carry out necessary sessions in line with the parent(s) requirements.
- Determine the needs of both parent(s) and baby/child and develop appropriate intervention plans.
- Chair placement plan meetings where required and assist in producing internal 12 week plans.
- Provide counseling and support to parents and to help them cope with social, emotional, and behavioral issues.
- Advocate for both parents and child rights and assist them in accessing necessary resources and services.
- Collaborate with other professionals, such as healthcare providers and educators, to coordinate care and services for clients.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client interactions and progress.
- Compile weekly reports, mid-term reports and final assessment reports.
- Attend court when necessary.
Qualifications
- Bachelor\'s or Master\'s degree in Social Work or related field
- State licensure or certification as a Social Worker (if applicable)
- Experience working with children, families, or individuals in need
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards in social work practice
