Job description

Responsibilities
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations of parents on safeguarding their babies.
  • Carry out necessary sessions in line with the parent(s) requirements.
  • Determine the needs of both parent(s) and baby/child and develop appropriate intervention plans.
  • Chair placement plan meetings where required and assist in producing internal 12 week plans.
  • Provide counseling and support to parents and to help them cope with social, emotional, and behavioral issues.
  • Advocate for both parents and child rights and assist them in accessing necessary resources and services.
  • Collaborate with other professionals, such as healthcare providers and educators, to coordinate care and services for clients.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client interactions and progress.
  • Compile weekly reports, mid-term reports and final assessment reports.
  • Attend court when necessary.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor\'s or Master\'s degree in Social Work or related field
  • State licensure or certification as a Social Worker (if applicable)
  • Experience working with children, families, or individuals in need
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards in social work practice
