We are seeking an Independent Reviewing Officer to join the team in Nottingham for a full-time locum position. This role aims to safeguard the interests of children and young people in accordance with statutory requirements, within a dynamic locum environment.

Responsibilities

• Work within legislative and statutory planning frameworks, Government Guidance and the Department’s policies and procedures.
• Act as part of the core team of Independent Reviewing Officers for Reviews for Children Looked After in Nottingham.
• Monitor professional practice and offer constructive challenge to improve outcomes for children and young people.
• Ensure all reviews are completed effectively, documenting and implementing statutory compliance.
• Advocate for the best interests of children and young people, ensuring their voices are heard and considered in all decisions affecting them.
