Sanctuary Personnel Limited is seeking an experienced Independent Reviewing Officer for Worcester, Worcestershire, UK on an ongoing basis. The role offers an hourly rate of £38 with flexible options for full- or part-time hours.

As a locum IRO, you will chair child protection conferences, provide expert guidance to social care teams, and drive quality assurance in child-focused practice. You will need Social Work England registration and management experience.

Qualifications

• Experienced and qualified Social Worker with management experience.
• Registered with Social Work England.
• Solid knowledge of policy, legislation, and good-practice principles.
• Strong commitment to multi-agency working and child-focused practice.
• Experience chairing complex and challenging meetings.
• Ability to manage difficult conversations effectively.
• Ability to scrutinise, challenge, and support Social Care Teams and partners.

Responsibilities

• Chair Initial and Review Child Protection Conferences with SMART Plans and information sharing.
• Chair Position of Trust meetings and manage difficult conversations for positive outcomes.
• Support Social Care Teams and partners with expert guidance.
• Deliver high-quality quality assurance and support mechanisms.
• Work with dual allocation of children on CP Plans and a LADO caseload.
