An Independent Reviewing Officer is required to join Stoke on Trent’s Children and Families service. This is a great opportunity to be part of a close-knit team.

As an Independent Reviewing Officer for the Children and Families Service, you will be:

  • Acting as a responsible corporate parent for the children you review
  • Monitoring the performance of the children and ensuring issues are escalated appropriately
  • Quality assuring review plans and considering all options to meet the child's needs
  • Focusing on children’s needs while being mindful of resource and cost implications
  • Convening, chairing, and documenting review meetings within prescribed timescales, ensuring quality standards are met

Requirements:

  • Hold a Social Work England registration
  • Be eligible to work in the UK
  • Hold a full UK driving license
  • Post-qualified experience
  • Degree level or equivalent in Social Work
