Job summary

Waythrough’s New Vision Bradford hubs are seeking an Independent Prescriber to join a multidisciplinary team delivering clinical assessment and prescribing, including complex medications. The role involves outreach, shared care with GPs, and supervised CPD with clinical supervision built in.

The successful candidate must be a registered nurse or pharmacist with an Independent Prescriber qualification and will contribute to risk assessments, immunisation, and harm-reduction services across hubs

Qualifications

• Must be a registered nurse or pharmacist with Independent Prescriber qualification.
• Ability to assess clinical needs and prescribe in line with guidance.
• Experience with outreach work and data handling is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Carry out clinical assessment and prescribe medicines, including controlled drugs.
• Prescribe cost-effectively and advise GPs and hospital staff on prescribing.
• Carry out service user‑centred assessment, care planning, monitoring and review.
• Deliver health promotion and harm reduction interventions as required.
• Maintain the clinical database and liaise with pharmacists on dispensing queries.
