Job summary

Royal Mail is seeking a Postal Delivery Driver for the Clifton area of Nottingham. The role involves sorting and loading deliveries each morning, then completing assigned routes on foot and by vehicle.

You will use a handheld device for navigation and signatures, with shifts from 07:00 to 19:00, Monday to Friday, plus weekend availability. This temporary position offers outdoor work and customer-facing duties in all weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and time management skills.
• Full UK manual driving licence (6 points max; clean licence preferred).
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather.
• Previous delivery or driving experience is beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Start your shift at the local delivery office to sort and load deliveries.
• Use a handheld device for signature capture and route navigation.
• Deliver letters and parcels by foot and/or vehicle — walking up to 8 miles per day.
• Lift and carry mail bags up to 16kg and parcels up to 20kg.
• Use delivery trolleys when required.
