Job summary

Royal Mail in Scunthorpe is hiring a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) to deliver letters and parcels on rotating shifts, including Sundays. You’ll work outdoors in all weather, walking long distances and driving a Royal Mail van daily – with full training provided.

You'll need a full manual UK driving licence (max 6 penalty points) and be physically fit. The role offers excellent pension and wellbeing support, and career development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Full manual UK driving licence (max 6 penalty points)
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and pass a driving assessment
• Physically fit and able to walk long distances
• Reliable, self-motivated and able to work independently
• Strong organisation and resilience in a busy environment

Responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office
• Deliver post by van and on foot in your local area
• Build relationships with customers on your route
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Deliver high volumes of parcels and timesensitive items
