Job summary

Pertemps, supporting Royal Mail in Leatherhead, seeks a Postal Delivery Driver on a temporary contract. The role is 37 hours per week, with shifts 8am–3pm, Monday to Friday; weekend availability may be required. Start at the local delivery office, sorting and loading mail before heading out.

A handheld device provides route guidance and signature capture. Deliveries occur on foot and by vehicle, up to eight miles daily, with lifting of mail bags and parcels (up to 16–20 kg).

Qualifications

• Full UK manual driving licence (held for at least 6 months)
• Excellent time management and customer service
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather
• Previous delivery or driving experience is beneficial but not essential

Responsibilities

• Start shift at the local delivery office to sort and load deliveries
• Use a handheld device for signatures and navigation
• Deliver letters and parcels by foot and/or vehicle, up to eight miles per day
• Lift and carry mail bags and parcels (up to 16–20 kg)
• Use delivery trolleys when required
