Job summary

Talentshed is helping an independent optometry practice in Oxford recruit an Optometrist. Enjoy generous testing times, leading clinical tech, and a strong work-life balance with flexible 4–5 day patterns and no late Saturdays.

Testing times: 40 minutes for sight tests, 20 minutes for contact lens checks, or up to an hour for combined appointments. Hands-on with Optomap and NewVision dry eye care, in a supportive team with long-standing ownership and MECS involvement.

Qualifications

• Experience as an optometrist with strong patient-facing skills.
• Ability to work in an independent practice with MECS involvement.
• Comfort using advanced clinical technology.

Responsibilities

• Conduct sight tests with extended testing times.
• Perform contact lens checks and case management.
• Deliver high-quality patient care using cutting-edge equipment.
