Overview

Independent Living Support Worker – Level 2 | 8891 | Permanent Contract | 37 hours per week | £31,537 to £33,699 per annum | Grade G | Countywide

Responsibilities
  • Support young people, helping them to develop positive and effective independent living skills.
  • Contribute to making plans to support young people and assist with their implementation; attend statutory reviews as required.
  • Act as a positive role model and form effective relationships with young people and their families to meet emotional and physical needs and maximise development opportunities.
  • Communicate clearly with young people and engage with them; use organisational skills to plan and prioritise workload.
  • Assist the Team Managers, Assistant Team Managers and Senior Support Workers with management tasks, such as inducting new staff members and completing relevant paperwork and documents.
  • Ideally have a background in Supported Accommodation or experience with children; maintain good levels of literacy and numeracy; hold an NVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care or an equivalent qualification.
  • Work the role requirements including evenings, weekends, bank holidays, sleep-ins as required and being part of the out-of-hours on-call rota.
