Job summary

Nycil is seeking a caring support assistant in Scarborough to help a visually impaired gentleman live independently. The role requires a vehicle and a full UK driving licence, as well as comfort with a guide dog accompanying the gentleman.

You will assist with daily activities, travel to appointments, and ensure a safe and friendly environment. Holiday allowance and travel expenses are covered, with a pay rate of £16.29 per hour plus mileage allowance.

Qualifications

• Must have a vehicle and full, clean UK driving licence.
• Ability to accommodate an assistance dog in the vehicle.
• Enhanced DBS check is essential.

Responsibilities

• Support the gentleman in daily activities and maintain independence.
• Assist with travel and tasks requiring mobility support.
• Ensure a safe environment for the gentleman and his guide dog.
