Job summary

The AA is seeking an HGV Recovery Driver to safely recover vehicles and reassure customers during breakdowns, often working alone across varied locations. You’ll represent The AA with professionalism and care, helping members back on the road.

A full Category C (HGV Class 2) licence is essential, with CE welcome, plus Driver CPC and a digital tachograph card. Flexibility for evenings, weekends and bank holidays is required; a supportive team and extensive benefits await.

Qualifications

• A full Category C (HGV Class 2) driving licence is essential.
• Category CE (HGV Class 1) licence is welcomed; support to gain it may be provided.
• A valid Driver CPC and a digital tachograph card are required.
• Confidence using and adapting to new technology is important.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and bank holidays due to breakdowns.

Responsibilities

• Delivering exceptional service by safely recovering vehicles and reassuring customers during breakdowns.
• Working independently across varied locations and conditions, while remaining a valued part of a supportive team.
• Solving problems on the spot, using technical skills and a calm approach to handle roadside situations.
• Staying solution-focused and compliant with EU Regulations & WTD, representing The AA with professionalism.
