Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and passionate Afro Hair Stylist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate has been braiding hair for years, either personally or professionally. We're looking for someone with the passion to create stunning looks that enhance our clients' natural beauty. This role requires excellent communication skills and a commitment to providing an exceptional experience for every client.

Duties

- Provide a range of Afro-Caribbean hair styling services
- Perform hair washes, treatments, blow-dry, and straightening
- Offer additional advice and guidance on caring for Afro hair
- Engage with clients to understand their preferences and provide tailored recommendations.
- Upsell products and services to enhance client satisfaction and salon revenue.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitised and ready for use.

Experience

- Demonstrable experience with braiding, particularly of Afro-textured hair
- Experience with weave, crochet, pick & drop, wigs, and other non-braid styles
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with clients.
- Personal style and appearance that elevates the salon environment
- Proficiency in cutting Afro-textured hair is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with proper care for Afro hair is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients and team members.
- A passion for the beauty industry and staying updated on the latest styles, trends, and techniques.
