Job summary

Slough Children First is recruiting Independent Fostering Panel Members to join our Fostering Panel and help make high quality, child-centred recommendations for children and families.

Panel members provide independent scrutiny, professional expertise and objective decision making to ensure the best outcomes for children. Induction, training and ongoing support are provided to carry out the role confidently and effectively.

Responsibilities

• Join the Fostering Panel to consider applications from prospective foster carers and related matters.
• Provide independent scrutiny and professional input to foster care decisions.
• Attend on a rota basis as part of a panel convened monthly.
