Job summary

Slough Children First is recruiting Independent Fostering Panel Members to join our Fostering Panel and contribute to making high quality, child centred recommendations for children and Families.

Panel members provide independent scrutiny, professional expertise and objective decision making to ensure the best outcomes for children. Induction, training and ongoing support are provided.

Qualifications

• Analyse and evaluate complex information.
• Contribute to professional discussion and decision making.
• Demonstrate sound judgement and objectivity.
• Respect confidentiality and promote equality, diversity and inclusion.
• Keep the needs of children at the centre of all discussions.

Responsibilities

• Attend Fostering Panel meetings on a rota basis.
• Provide independent scrutiny and professional expertise to ensure best outcomes for children.
