Independent Financial Adviser – Canterbury & Surrounding Area
This is an opportunity to service and build upon an existing client portfolio on an employed or self-employed basis, delivering a consistent and outstanding client experience.
In this role, you will understand your clients' current and future financial goals and formulate easy-to-understand financial strategies, guiding your clients to financial independence.
This role offers home-based/remote working with access to office locations if preferred.
Key Responsibilities as Our Independent Financial Adviser Will Include
- Developing an understanding of the AFH Financial Group’s strategy and core values, representing the AFH brand in a professional and courteous manner.
- Complying with AFH’s advice process, maintaining regulatory competence, and KPI standards to ensure all activities meet the business standards. Continually drive improvements in the quality of advice and client files.
- Maintaining Fit and Proper, and TCF requirements, in accordance with AFH Financial Group’s processes and procedures, and keeping personal CPD records and knowledge up to date.
- Meeting regulatory requirements, including disclosure, costs of services provided, and advised products.
- Following the Six-Stage Advice Process to build long-term relationships and deliver excellent client outcomes.
- Reviewing and responding to clients’ changing needs and financial circumstances, and keeping introducers and clients updated on new financial products or legislative changes affecting their pensions, savings, investments, and financial plans.
- Acquiring and developing new business from new/existing clients and professional introducers through personal planning, referrals, and company lead generation.
- Optimising marketing opportunities, including social media and networking, to develop new business.
- Maintaining good client and introducer relationships through meetings, seminars, and ongoing feedback.
- Contacting clients to arrange meetings within office, at their homes, or virtually via Microsoft Teams.
What We Are Looking for in Our Ideal Independent Financial Adviser
- Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (or FCA approved equivalent) and maintaining CF30 status.
- A client-centric approach with a well-presented, articulate manner, and dedication to doing right by clients.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, approachability, professionalism, and IT proficiency to embrace virtual/digital communication methods.
- Experience in networking, business development, and building relationships with affinity groups, business owners, entrepreneurs, and retail clients.
