Job Description:

Archer Resourcing is seeking two community IDVAs to join their team. Ideally, candidates should be close to Redcar and Cleveland, but remote working may be considered for suitable applicants.

The IDVA role offers an innovative approach to supporting survivors of domestic abuse within the community. The community IDVAs will focus on reaching underrepresented victims across urban and rural areas, strengthening links with partner organizations, and providing IDVA support and domestic abuse awareness. They will act as single points of contact for partner organizations.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage a caseload providing high-quality client support, advocacy within the criminal justice system, and emotional and practical assistance including legal options, health, finance, and housing.
  • Prioritize high-risk cases and deliver proactive crisis intervention through safety planning and personal support to ensure clients and their children remain safe.
  • Work within a multi-agency framework, including MARAC and local partnerships, to coordinate safety plans for high-risk victims.
  • Comply with data protection, confidentiality, and information sharing policies, along with relevant legislation.
  • Maintain professional boundaries at all times.
Requirements:
  • Qualified IDVA or willingness to undertake training.
  • Knowledge or experience of civil and criminal justice remedies for domestic abuse victims and their children.
  • Experience working within multi-agency frameworks like MARAC and local partnerships.
  • Ability to manage a caseload effectively.
  • Access to a car and hold a full UK driving license.
  • Relevant certificates or qualifications.
  • Enhanced DBS check within the last 12 months (preferably on the update service). Fast-track options may be available.
