A leading health board in Wales is offering an exciting opportunity for two Health IDVAs to provide vital advocacy and support for individuals at risk of domestic abuse. The role involves collaboration with local authorities and multidisciplinary teams to ensure clients receive comprehensive care. Candidates should be experienced in working with vulnerable populations and have a passion for safeguarding, contributing positively to the health and wellbeing of the community.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for two Health IDVA to work across CTMUHB. The post is funded until 31st March 2027.
The post will be expected to deliver advocacy support and advice within the Health Board (CTMUHB), to clients aged from 13 years old to adulthood, who have experienced or are at risk of domestic or relationship abuse in the Health Board region.
To provide targeted support, helping adults and young people to be safe from harm and develop their understanding of healthy relationships.
Work within professional guidelines to deliver specialist advocacy and high-quality support to those at the highest risk of domestic or relationship abuse, and sexual violence.
Work in partnership with the Local Authority, Police, Crown Prosecution Service, and Third Sector Agencies to ensure that clients are adequately supported through health and psychological services and, where necessary, criminal justice and follow-on support agencies.
Prioritise, assess, plan, implement, and evaluate all relevant aspects of care to an expected high standard. They will work closely with the multi-disciplinary team and contribute to the clinical governance process.
