Summary

We are seeking an experienced and fully qualified Independent Clinical Supervisor to provide clinical supervision to a UK-based psychotherapist working within a Transactional Analysis (TA) framework. This role requires a minimum of 2 hours of supervision per month, with potential for long-term collaboration.


Essential Criteria:


  • Clinical Supervisor Qualification: Must hold a Diploma in Clinical Supervision or equivalent. Within the TA framework, we are specifically looking for someone who is a PTSTA (Provisional Teaching and Supervising Transactional Analyst) or ideally a TSTA (Teaching and Supervising Transactional Analyst).

  • Psychotherapy Credentials: You must be a qualified psychotherapist with substantial post-qualification clinical experience, including both individual and group therapy work.

  • Accreditation: You must be an accredited member of one or more of the following professional bodies:

    • UKCP (UK Council for Psychotherapy)

    • BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy)

    • UKATA (United Kingdom Association for Transactional Analysis)



  • TA Specific Requirements: At a minimum, we are seeking someone who is a Certified Transactional Analyst (CTA). Supervision candidates must have additional training and experience beyond the CTA level to qualify as a supervisor.

  • Ethical Standards: You should meet the criteria outlined in the UKCP Supervision Statement, and ideally be listed on the UKCP Supervisors Register.


Preferred Experience:


  • Experience supervising clinicians working in TA clinical practice

  • Depth of clinical experience working directly with clients across diverse settings

  • Strong understanding of ethical practice, supervision models, and relational supervision approaches
