Paydek is looking for an Independent Non-Executive Director (iNED) for our office in London, United Kingdom. The role is a member of the Board of Directors and the Audit Committee, requiring up to 16 hours per month, focusing on checking and challenging to ensure adequate and effective controls are adopted by Paydek.

Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the company's business strategies to attain the goals of the Paydek Board.
- Provide strategic advice to the Paydek Board.
- Ensure company policies and legal guidelines are communicated throughout the organization and are always followed.
- Maintain trust relationships with shareholders, Executive Directors, and regulatory bodies.
- Lead audits instructed by the Audit Committee to ensure adherence to the Risk Appetite Statement, legal obligations, and best practices.
- Delegate responsibilities and supervise the work of Executives, providing guidance and motivation.
- Review and advise on internal controls to mitigate risks, including Financial Crime Controls.
- Analyze problematic situations and provide solutions to ensure company survival and growth.
- Create initiatives to capitalize on market opportunities, reduce operational threats, and mitigate business risks.
- Identify core competencies and define operational goals.
- Liaise with the Paydek Board to ensure alignment with the Board-Approved Risk Appetite Statement (RAS) and Business Plan.
- Ensure policies, procedures, and controls are regularly reviewed and updated.
Requirements
- Knowledge of Financial Services, specifically Payment Services.
- Experience in developing profitable strategies and implementing vision as per the approved Business Plan.
- Strong understanding of corporate finance and performance management principles.
- Familiarity with diverse business functions such as Audit, Compliance, and Risk.
- In-depth knowledge of corporate governance and management best practices.
- An entrepreneurial mindset with strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, including public speaking.
- Knowledge of regulatory obligations and best practices of a Financial Institution.
