Job summary

Iconic Hotels & Resorts is seeking an Income Auditor to oversee daily and monthly income auditing for one or more London hotels, with cover to others as needed. You will help ensure revenue is accurately recorded, controlled, and compliant with brand standards and statutory guidelines.

You will work with Front Office, F&B, Spa and Events, perform end-of-month close, reconciliations across PMS, POS, and other systems, and drive continuous improvement in revenue processes.

Qualifications

  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent understanding of hotel revenue streams and revenue controls.
  • Ability to manage and prioritise multiple hotels with tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate with operations teams.
  • High integrity and a strong control mindset.
  • Proficient in Excel (lookups, pivots, data validation).
  • Experience with Opera PMS, Micros/Simphony, SAP by Design, Infor and other hospitality systems.

Responsibilities

  • Daily Revenue Audit Oversight – perform or review daily income audits for multiple hotels; ensure revenue data accuracy and completeness.
  • System reconciliations – oversee reconciliations between PMS, POS, Spa, and other revenue systems; identify interface gaps and coordinate fixes.
  • Controls & Compliance – ensure adherence to revenue control policies, brand standards and internal audit guidelines; monitor cash handling procedures and rate integrity.
  • Month-End Close – prepare revenue summaries, journals and reconciliations for several hotels; balance sheet review (city ledger, deposits, gift vouchers, advance deposits, credit card clearing).
  • Support to Hotel Operations – work with Front Office, F&B, Spa, Events to resolve revenue issues; provide training on systems and processes.
  • Continuous Improvement & Projects – identify process improvements; support new systems/interfaces; document revenue audit processes across sites.

Income Auditor - Strand Palace Hotel & Mayfair Town House

The Income Auditor is responsible for overseeing the daily and monthly income auditing processes for one or more hotels and provides cover to other hotels as required by the Income Audit Manager. The role ensures that revenue is accurately recorded, properly controlled, and compliant with brand standards, internal audit requirements, and statutory guidelines. The Income Auditor safeguards revenue integrity across all revenue-generating departments and plays a critical role in the month-end close for multiple hotels.

What you'll be doing
  1. Daily Revenue Audit Oversight
  • Perform or review daily income audits for multiple hotels, ensuring accuracy and completeness of revenue data.
  • Validate postings for Rooms, F&B, Spa, Events/Conferences, and Other revenues.
  • Review variances, mismatches, no-show charges, cancellations, rebates, voids, and “house use” rooms.
  • Ensure that all exceptions are investigated and resolved with hotel teams.
  1. System Reconciliations
  • Oversee daily reconciliations between PMS, POS, Spa, and other auxiliary revenue systems.
  • Identify interface gaps or failures and work with IT/operations to correct issues.
  • Review credit card settlements, eCommerce channels, OTA payments, and cash deposits.
  1. Controls & Compliance
  • Ensure strict adherence to revenue control policies, brand standards, and internal audit guidelines.
  • Monitor and audit compliance with cash-handling procedures, void approvals, rate integrity, and discounts.
  • Maintain complete, accurate, and audit-ready documentation for all revenue streams.
  1. Month-End Close
  • Prepare revenue summaries, journals, and reconciliations for several hotels.
  • Audit and reconcile balance sheet accounts such as:
    • City ledger
    • Deposits
    • Gift vouchers
    • Advance deposits
    • Credit card clearing
  • Ensure all revenue adjustments, accruals, and corrections are posted before close.
  • Support the Income Audit Manager with revenue analysis and reporting.
  1. Support to Hotel Operations
  • Work closely with Front Office, F&B, Spa, Events, and other operational teams to resolve revenue issues.
  • Provide training on systems, revenue processes, documentation, and best practices.
  • Communicate trends or recurring issues and recommend improvements.
  1. Continuous Improvement & Projects
  • Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance revenue accuracy and efficiency.
  • Support implementation of new systems, interfaces, or digital initiatives.
  • Ensure consistent revenue audit processes across all hotels are properly documented with especially site specific.
