Job summary

The Cherwell School in Thame is seeking a dedicated teaching assistant to support students under the guidance of teaching staff. You will help with differentiation, behaviour support, and the development of individual plans to promote learning and inclusion.

Working closely with teachers and support staff, you will monitor student progress, provide feedback, and help create a safe, engaging classroom environment that enables all students to access learning and achieve their goals.

Qualifications

• Supports students with SEND and promotes inclusion.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and provide support for students with SEND, ensuring safety and access to learning activities.
• Assist in developing and implementing Individual Education/Behaviour Plans and Personal Care programmes.
• Establish constructive relationships with students and interact according to individual needs.
• Promote inclusion and the acceptance of all students.
• Encourage interaction and cooperation among students; engage all in activities.
• Provide feedback on progress and achievement; seek guidance from the teacher as required.
• Assist in maintaining an orderly learning environment and support lesson/plan adjustments.
