Job summary

Rugby Free Secondary School is seeking an enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to support pupils and contribute to high‑quality teaching and inclusive learning across the school. You will work closely with teachers to adapt activities, monitor progress and support individual and group needs within a calm, safe environment.

Under the guidance of the Director of Learning and Inclusion Manager, you will help with planning, resource preparation, and attendance at meetings.

Qualifications

• Experience following safeguarding policies.
• Ability to work under supervision with staff.
• Willingness to attend training including First Aid.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and provide support for individual/groups of students.
• Promote inclusion and ensure safety.
• Assist with planning, assessment and evaluation of teaching and learning.
• Provide detailed feedback to teachers on student progress.
• Assist with personal care and health/wellbeing as required.
• Attend meetings and participate in training including First Aid.
