Job summary

Ingeus UK is seeking an Employment Specialist to empower individuals with disabilities and long-term health conditions, helping them secure sustainable employment through tailored, strengths-based support in a community-based role across Skelmersdale and surrounding areas.

You will manage a caseload, deliver one-to-one guidance on CVs, job searching, and interview preparation, and build strong partnerships with employers and local services to create inclusive opportunities and measurable

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build trust with diverse participants.
• Experience engaging with stakeholders, employers and community organisations.
• Ability to handle sensitive conversations with empathy and professionalism.
• Knowledge of employment support services or welfare-to-work programmes.
• Self-motivated, adaptable and able to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
• Problem-solving skills to identify practical solutions to employment barriers.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalised employment support to individuals facing barriers to work.
• Manage a caseload and deliver one-to-one guidance on CV writing and job searching.
• Support individuals with complex needs with tailored guidance.
• Build partnerships with local authorities, NHS, voluntary organisations and community groups.
• Develop employer relationships to identify suitable opportunities.
• Promote disability inclusion and advise employers on accessible workplaces.
• Monitor progress, maintain records and work towards outcomes.
