Job summary

Essex Cares Limited is recruiting an Inclusive Employment Consultant based in Harlow, with travel across West Essex. You will support customers, mainly those with learning disabilities or autism, into employment or volunteering, and work with employers to create opportunities.

The role requires a full driving licence and flexible hours including evenings/weekends. Full-time, fixed term 15 months. 37 hours per week with some travel involved.

Qualifications

• A full and valid driving licence with own vehicle to travel
• Experience of directly supporting adults with a learning disability and/or autism into employment
• Confident in networking; building and maintaining relationships and working in a team
• Ability to work in a target driven environment
• Exceptional and adaptable communication skills
• Ability to plan, prioritise and problem solve with minimal support
• Proactive, flexible, and adaptable approach to work

Inclusive Employment - Supporting customers

Location: Harlow, with travel required across West Essex

Hours: Full time, 37 hours a week, Monday - Thursday 08:30am - 16:30pm, Friday 08:30am - 16:00pm. Flexibility working outside of the core hours is required, including evenings and weekends.

Contract:Fixed Term - 15 months

Full driving licence and own vehicle is essential.

As an Inclusive Employment Consultant, you’ll be key in ensuring our customers, who are predominately people with learning disabilities and/or autism, are supported into employment, volunteering and/or community outcomes dependant on the customer’s choice and their specific employment targets.
