Job summary

The City of Edinburgh Council is seeking an Inclusion Teacher for St Thomas of Aquin HS Learning Community on a fixed-term basis until 26 November 2027. The role supports learners aged 3-18 with Additional Support Needs, promoting inclusive learning, wellbeing and equity across teaching.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with children and young people with Additional Support Needs using inclusive approaches.
• Knowledge of legislation and guidance related to inclusion, GIRFEC and wellbeing.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a range of practitioners to create inclusive learning environments.

Responsibilities

• Strengthen school capacity to meet needs through universal provision and targeted support.
• Work with school leaders, teachers and support staff to improve learning, teaching and assessment for learners with ASN.
• Support transitions and partnerships with parents and carers, promoting equality and inclusion.
