Job summary

Zest Education is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support pupils with a range of complex needs, including autism and SEMH, in a specialist educational setting.

You will work closely with teachers and therapists to implement education and behaviour plans, adapt activities and promote emotional regulation, resilience and social skills. Immediate start and ongoing training are offered to a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with SEND, autism, SEMH or complex needs.
• Positive, patient and resilient attitude.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Team-focused approach and willingness to learn.
• Ability to remain calm and supportive in challenging situations.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with autism, SEMH needs and additional learning difficulties.
• Help implement individual education and behaviour support plans.
• Adapt resources and activities to meet learning needs.
• Promote emotional regulation, resilience and positive behaviour strategies.
• Encourage participation, confidence and independence in learning.
• Support development of communication, social and life skills.
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists and other professionals to provide consistent support.
