Job summary

Yorkshire Cricket Foundation in Wakefield is seeking a Cricket Development Officer to coordinate and deliver inclusive cricket programmes across schools, clubs and community settings. You will connect community participation with club engagement and support sustainable growth across Yorkshire.

You will work with the Development Manager to plan, monitor impact, and promote equality, diversity and safeguarding in all activities.

Qualifications

• ECB Foundation / Core Coach (Level 1) qualification.
• Minimum 1 year demonstrable experience delivering cricket or sport programmes in clubs, schools or community settings.
• Experience of club & league or community sport development with measurable outcomes.
• Strong organisation, planning and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with partners, clubs and communities.
• Understanding of safeguarding, inclusion and health & safety in sport, with the ability to identify and report concerns appropriately.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver inclusive cricket programmes across clubs, leagues, schools and community settings.
• Support partner clubs and leagues to grow participation and inclusion, in line with local plans.
• Mentor activators, volunteers and coaches to improve delivery quality and consistency.
• Collect data, case studies and feedback for area-level reporting and funding reports.
• Promote equality, diversity, inclusion and safeguarding across all activity.
