Inclusion Unit Worker - Secondary School (Levenshulme)
Start Date: September 2025 | Full-Time | Daily Rate: £89 - £100

Are you passionate about supporting young people who face challenges in mainstream classrooms? A welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Levenshulme is seeking a dedicated and empathetic Inclusion Unit Worker to join their pastoral team from September 2025.

This vital role involves working closely with students who may be at risk of exclusion, helping them reintegrate into learning and succeed in a supportive, structured environment.

  • Supervise and support students referred to the school's Inclusion Unit

  • Deliver targeted academic support and behaviour interventions

  • Work 1:1 and in small groups to build positive relationships and develop resilience

  • Liaise with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral teams to monitor progress and implement support strategies

  • Help maintain a calm, consistent, and focused working environment

  • Experience working with young people who display challenging behaviour, SEMH needs, or are at risk of exclusion

  • Calm, consistent, and resilient in your approach

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to de-escalate situations positively

  • A genuine interest in inclusion, safeguarding, and helping every child reach their potential

  • Experience in youth work, mentoring, education or similar settings is highly desirable

  • A committed pastoral and inclusion team

  • Access to training and CPD in behaviour support and safeguarding
