Job summary

Wrenn School is seeking an Inclusion Unit Assistant to join the Inclusion Team. The role provides targeted support to students, helping them overcome barriers to learning and engagement, while collaborating with staff, families and external agencies.

The successful candidate will be compassionate, resilient and dedicated to helping every student thrive, with a focus on safeguarding, wellbeing and inclusive practice across the school.

Job Title: Inclusion Unit Assistant Location: Wrenn School Salary: NJC scale 5, (points 12-17) Actual salary £24,637 - £26,742 Start Date: December 2026/January 2027 Contract Type: Permanent Working Pattern: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday Application Closing Date: 03 October 2026 About You: Wrenn School are seeking a caring and proactive Inclusion Unit Assistant who is committed to helping students achieve their full potential, regardless of the challenges they may face. You will have a genuine passion for supporting young people and the ability to build positive, professional relationships that promote confidence, resilience and engagement with learning. You will be patient, empathetic and adaptable, with the confidence to support students with a range of educational, behavioural, social and emotional needs. Working closely with teaching staff, pastoral teams, families and external agencies, you will play a key role in supporting students both inside and outside the classroom, helping to remove barriers to learning and ensuring every student feels valued, supported and able to succeed.
