Job summary

Derby City Council at Silverhill Primary School, Derby, is seeking an Inclusion Teaching Assistant to support pupils with additional needs during a 12-month maternity cover. You will work with teachers and families to create motivating, inclusive learning experiences.

Qualifications

Hours: 31.25 hours a week, term time

Contract type: 12 month maternity cover, fixed term contract from November 2026 to October 2027

We are looking for a member of staff to cover up to 12 months for Maternity Leave cover, who is a highly motivated, specialist teaching assistant with experience of working with children who have additional needs to join our friendly Inclusion Team to support pupils with specific needs. You will need to work closely in partnership with the school and families to ensure the best possible learning experiences for our pupils.
