Job description

We are looking to welcome a new and inspirational Inclusion Support Officer to join our expanding Gateway team on a permanent basis.

You will be supporting staff and parents/carers to ensure the highest standards of engagement, attendance, and behaviour at the Gateway. The successful candidate will need to have recent experience working with students at secondary school age, with experience supporting students with SEND of particular interest. You will work as part of a strong, dynamic, and dedicated team and will be able to establish rapport and foster positive relationships with students and their families.

This will be a hugely rewarding role within an extremely supportive working environment. Previous experience supporting vulnerable young people within an inclusive learning environment would be advantageous. Key knowledge and understanding of safeguarding is essential.

The position is 37 hours per week (Monday-Thursday 08:00 - 16:00, Friday 08:00 - 15:30), 37 weeks per year, plus inset days (total 38 weeks).
