Job summary

The Heart of Yorkshire Education Group is seeking an enthusiastic Inclusion Practitioner to support students with learning difficulties at Selby College. The role provides an excellent opportunity to work in an educational setting, with flexible hours and a range of benefits including generous annual leave and professional development opportunities. Qualifications

  • Direct experience of working with and motivating students.
  • Awareness of the 2014 SEND reforms (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities).
  • Flexible approach to working hours and a willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

  • Motivate and engage students to achieve their educational goals.
  • Work collaboratively within an educational team.

Hours: 18.5 hours per week, 2 roles available

Weeks: Term Time 40 weeks per year

Salary: £26,967 to £28,609 pro rata

£12,386 to £13,140 actual salary.

Location: Selby College

If you want to make a difference and are looking for a fulfilling career and role, we are looking for an Inclusion Practitioner with drive and enthusiasm who have direct experience of working with and motivating students.

If you would like to work in an educational setting and you are caring, patient and student-centred, then supporting our students with learning difficulties and / or disabilities may be the post for you. You must have a flexible approach to working hours and a willingness to travel between our campus sites.

What we are looking for:

  • Experience of working with students with learning difficulties and/or disabilities
  • A minimum of GCSE A*- C / 9 - 4 in Maths and English, or equivalent for example -Functional Skills Level 2
  • An awareness of the 2014 SEND reforms (Special Educational Needs and -Disabilities)
  • Enthusiasm and commitment to all tasks undertaken
  • Word processing / ECDL / CLAIT or equivalent qualification and / or equivalent experience
