Job summary

Knowleswood Primary School is seeking an Inclusion Mentor to join a team committed to inclusive practice, equality and access to learning for all pupils. You will build strong relationships with students and families, provide informal crisis support, and lead early identification and intervention for pupils at risk of underachievement.

The role requires a Level 4 qualification in education or health or at least 2 years experience in relevant fields.

Qualifications

  • Must hold a Level 4 qualification in education or health, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in education, health, social care or youth work.

Responsibilities

  • Work within a team that models inclusive practice across the school, promoting equality, diversity and access to learning for all
  • Establish productive and positive working relationships with pupils, acting as a role model that promotes positive values and attitudes
  • Provide informal support for crisis and trauma, including signposting/referring to specialised services
  • Lead on early identification and intervention for pupils at risk of underachievement or social exclusion
  • Lead a small group of SEND pupils under the direction of the SENDCo within a small provision
  • Be an experienced practitioner with a good understanding of inclusion strategies and knowledge of working with SEND including SEMH

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Inclusion Mentor at Knowleswood Primary School.

The role will involve establishing relationships with pupils and families and ensuring that the school's inclusive values are reflected in daily practice.
