Job summary

Your centre of duty will be County Hall in Dorchester. Dorset Council is seeking an education or social care professional to join the Virtual School team as Inclusion Lead, supporting Children with a Social Worker and those in kinship care to improve educational outcomes.

You will work flexibly in a hybrid model across the county, travel as needed, and engage with partner agencies to monitor progress, attendance and attainment whilst prioritising trauma-informed approaches for vulnerable

Qualifications

Education or social care worker required.
Experience with vulnerable children in education or social care contexts.
Willingness to travel across Dorset and hold a full driving licence.

Responsibilities

Improve educational outcomes for Children with a Social Worker and children in kinship care.
Set up high quality teaching and learning experiences across Early Years, schools and Post-16 providers.
Monitor progress, attendance and attainment and report on targets.
Work in a trauma-informed way to support vulnerable children and young people.
Collaborate with partners and travel as required within the county.
