Job summary

Carmarthenshire County Council is recruiting a Level 2 Teaching Assistant to work in the Inclusion Centre at Ysgol Gyfun Emlyn in Newcastle Emlyn, Carmarthenshire. The role supports pupils’ learning and personal care, with duties including health, hygiene, First Aid, toileting and mobility, under term-time conditions.

The post requires Welsh language communication at Level 4 for some duties and offers a 30-hour week at £14.25–£14.70 per hour, with DBS checks and eligibility considerations as

Qualifications

• Experience as a teaching assistant is desirable.
• Communicate effectively in Welsh (Level 4) or willing to develop.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils' learning and personal needs in the Inclusion Centre.
• Implement personal programmes including social, health, physical, hygiene, First Aid, toileting, feeding, mobility and welfare matters.
• Assist with welfare and safeguarding for pupils as part of a fully integrated setting.
