Job summary

A leading educational support organization in Central Manchester is seeking a Behaviour Support Officer to assist students needing additional emotional and behavioural support. Responsibilities include managing inclusion room behavior, delivering SEMH interventions, and liaising with families. Location: Central Manchester
Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Full-time, Term Time Only
Salary: £95 – £110 per day (equivalent to approximately £12.00 – £14.00 per hour)

An Ofsted-rated ‘Good’ secondary school is recruiting a Behaviour Support Officer to work with students who require additional emotional and behavioural support. This role is vital in reducing exclusions and supporting reintegration.

  • Support behaviour/inclusion room management

  • Deliver 1:1 or small group SEMH interventions

  • Liaise with families, SLT, and external agencies

  • Record and monitor behaviour and progress data

  • Experience in behaviour support or mentoring

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Knowledge of restorative approaches to behaviour

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
