Job summary

A leading company in the UK is seeking a skilled professional for a Cyber Crisis Management role. The successful candidate will develop and implement crisis response strategies, coordinate incident management efforts, and ensure compliance with information security principles. Job description

Your new role
  • Crisis Planning & Preparation:
  • Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive cyber crisis management plan, including incident response playbooks, escalation paths, and communication strategies.
  • Conduct tabletop exercises and simulations to validate response capabilities and identify gaps.
  • Ensure all crisis preparedness elements are in place, including training for relevant personnel.
  • Incident Response & Crisis Management:
  • Support the CISO to lead and coordinate the response to cyber incidents, including containment, eradication, and recovery.
  • Serve as the point of contact for internal and external stakeholders during a cyber crisis.
  • Ensure accurate and timely communication throughout the incident, coordinating reporting/communcation to executives, legal counsel, and regulatory bodies.
  • Monitor and coordinate action plans for investigation and remediation.
  • Vulnerability Management:
  • Supervise the vulnerability management remediation process, ensuring timely detection, qualification, and reporting of vulnerabilities.
  • Validate action plans to address identified vulnerabilities and track progress.


What you'll need to succeed
  • Proven experience in managing high-pressure situations, including developing and executing crisis response plans and effective testing exercises at all levels SOC, IT teams to Business leaders and Executives.
  • Ability to assess the overall impact of a cyber incident on the business and develop strategies for recovery and prevention.
  • Strong understanding of information security principles and practices
  • Extensive knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards
  • Experience with developing and implementing Cyber Crisis plans and testing, engaging with teams outside security for input and alignment
