The role


As a Incident Command Trainer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. To effectively and professionally deliver the Incident Command training programme.

Day-to-day, you’ll Ensure the effective delivery of Incident Command Training in accordance with the Training Delivery Programme

  • Complete appropriate competency records and paperwork for LFB staff attending Incident Command training courses
  • Ensure a safe system of work is maintained throughout effective training delivery
  • Provide Subject Matter Expertise with regard to future development of Incident Command training for emergency services.

This role is full time OR part time and is based at either Beckton or Harrow

Essential experience of the Incident Command Trainer

  • Comprehensive technical knowledge of Incident Command Procedures and practice
  • Experience of operational Incident command within a mainstream Fire Service to WM7 or above.
  • Effective and inspirational leadership skills
  • Good organisational skills

Qualifications for the Incident Command

  • Competent to National Occupational Standards
  • i.e. WM7 or EFSM2 Fire Service Role Map (essential)

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) security clearance for this role.
