What you'll do
- Act as part of a team responsible for incident management, promoting best practices and continually improving processes.
- Build relationships outside your business area with internal partners and external suppliers to resolve issues, support outcomes, and meet business and customer needs.
- Facilitate incident resolution by supporting domain leaders, ensuring timely resolution, and minimizing service impact.
- Maintain accurate records and communicate status effectively to stakeholders.
- Support post-incident reviews, identify root causes, and implement solutions for continuous improvement.
- Analyze incident data, ensuring accurate records are gathered and maintained.
- Provide insights on improving incident management processes, including automation.
- Handle high-pressure situations calmly, assessing impact critically and communicating effectively.
The skills you'll need
- Experience handling various incidents, including major incidents, and participation in a 24/7 on-call rota.
- Proven experience in a similar role within a technology organization.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience dealing with clients, regulators, vendors, and payment schemes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make critical decisions under pressure.
- Experience with technology monitoring, observability tooling, automation, and working in regulated environments is highly beneficial.
