Job summary

COREcruitment Ltd is seeking a Logistics and Planning Manager for our drinks FMCG client in Southwest London. You will own the end-to-end inbound supply chain, ensuring materials arrive on time, in full and to the required quality at the right cost.

You will manage freight, customs, inventory and supplier performance in a fast-paced environment, with cross-functional collaboration to drive improvements and cost efficiency across the inbound operation.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in supply chain, logistics or inbound operations.
  • Strong Excel and data analysis skills.
  • Experience with ERP/WMS and supply chain systems advantageous.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end inbound supply chain, ensuring products and materials are delivered on time, in full and in line with business requirements.
  • Manage freight and customs operations, working closely with freight forwarders, hauliers and customs partners to ensure efficient, compliant and cost-effective movement of goods.
  • Lead inbound inventory management, ensuring stock availability while minimising excess inventory, shortages, aged stock and unnecessary working capital.
  • Manage supplier performance, building strong relationships and holding suppliers accountable for agreed service, delivery, quality and responsiveness KPIs.
  • Oversee inbound quality control, working with suppliers and internal Quality/Technical teams to resolve non-conformances, damages, shortages and specification issues.
  • Own inbound logistics costs and performance, identifying opportunities to reduce freight and operational costs while maintaining high service levels.
  • Monitor and report key supply chain KPIs, providing clear visibility of inbound performance, risks, inventory, supplier performance and costs to senior stakeholders.
  • Drive continuous improvement, identifying operational inefficiencies and implementing practical improvements across processes, systems, suppliers and the wider inbound operation.

Logistic and Planning Manager – Drinks FMCG Business – Southwest London – Up to £36,000 plus package

This is a rare chance to join one of the leading Drinks FMCG businesses internationally. With a strong and recognizable portfolio and products across both the on & off trade, with an excellent team and culture.

We are looking for an experienced and commercially minded Logistic and Planning Manager to join a leading Drinks FMCG business and take ownership of the end-to-end inbound supply chain. This is a key role within the supply chain and logistics function, responsible for ensuring products and materials arrive on time, in full, to the required quality standards and at the right cost.

You will manage the inbound flow of stock from suppliers and international partners, with responsibility across freight and customs, quality control, inventory, supplier performance and cost management. The role will suit someone who thrives in a fast-paced FMCG environment, is highly organised and analytical, and enjoys working cross-functionally to solve operational challenges.

This role will be 5 days per week in the West London office.

The Ideal Logistic and Planning Manager candidate:
  • Proven experience in supply chain, logistics or inbound operations, ideally within FMCG, food or beverage.
  • Strong understanding of freight, international logistics and customs processes.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Experience managing suppliers and third-party logistics partners.
  • A strong understanding of inventory management and supply chain planning.
  • Commercial awareness and experience managing or influencing logistics costs.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn data into action.
  • Strong attention to detail and a highly organised approach.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • A proactive, hands-on approach with a genuine desire to improve processes and performance.
  • Strong Excel/data analysis skills; experience with ERP, WMS or supply chain systems would be advantageous.
