Job summary

MTrec Technical is seeking an experienced Logistics Specialist for a full-time role in a technologically driven manufacturing facility in Bedale, UK. You will plan, schedule and report on deliveries, ensuring materials arrive on time and are accurately recorded in SAP and ERP systems.

The role requires strong administrative and organisational skills, experience with delivery coordination, and a proactive approach to process improvements.

Qualifications

• Goods In, Warehouse or Logistics admin experience.
• Experience coordinating delivery schedules and booking-in processes.
• Organised and accurate, with strong attention to detail.
• Experience using ERP or warehouse management systems.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain good relationships with Procurement teams and suppliers to plan and process deliveries on time.
• Manage the daily inbound delivery schedule so it aligns with Production and Logistics needs.
• Monitor goods receiving and ensure accurate recording in SAP and other systems.
• Ensure receiving activities meet company procedures, quality, and HSE standards.
• Investigate discrepancies and work with Procurement/Finance to resolveRoot causes.
• Monitor KPIs and prepare updates and trend reports for management.
• Escalate stock issues and delivery delays to appropriate teams for resolution.
• Collaborate with internal teams and suppliers to improve processes and controls.
• Support continuous improvement projects to reduce errors and boost efficiency.
• Assist during busy periods to ensure materials are available when needed.
• Maintain records and complete required documentation to a high standard.

MTrec Technical are representing our well-established and forward-thinking manufacturing client in their search for an experienced Logistics Specialist. This role will play a critical part in ensuring the smooth running of the department through the use of planning, scheduling and reporting.

The Job you will do:

• Build and maintain good working relationships with Procurement teams, suppliers and third-party logistics providers to ensure deliveries are planned, received and processed on time.
• Take responsibility for the daily inbound delivery schedule, making sure deliveries are balanced and achievable and meet the needs of Production and Logistics.
• Monitor the goods receiving process and ensure all incoming materials are received, checked and accurately recorded in SAP and other relevant systems.
• Ensure all receiving activities follow company procedures, quality standards and health and safety requirements.
• Investigate and resolve delivery and receiving discrepancies, working closely with Procurement and Finance to identify the cause and take appropriate action.
• Monitor and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs), preparing regular updates and reports for management and highlighting trends, issues and opportunities for improvement.
• Identify and escalate stock issues, delivery delays and operational risks to the appropriate teams, ensuring problems are followed through to resolution.
• Work with internal teams and external suppliers to improve processes, increase receiving accuracy and strengthen supply chain controls.
• Support continuous improvement projects aimed at making processes more efficient, reducing errors and improving overall operational performance.
• Support Production and Logistics during busy periods and peak production schedules, ensuring materials are available when needed.
• Maintain accurate records and complete all required documentation and procedures to a high standard.
• Work collaboratively with other departments and provide support where required to help meet wider business needs.

About you:

• Previous experience in a Goods In, Warehouse, Logistics or Supply Chain administration role.
• Experience coordinating and managing delivery schedules and booking-in processes.
• Strong administrative and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, particularly when checking delivery documentation, purchase orders, stock records and batch information.
• Experience using ERP or warehouse management systems to process deliveries, purchase orders and stock movements.
• Proficient IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
• Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies, system issues and stock variances.
• Experience creating, maintaining and distributing KPI data and performance reports.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with internal teams, suppliers and transport providers.
