Job description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated In Vivo Scientist to join our clients research team, contributing to the planning, execution, and analysis of in vivo studies in support of drug discovery and development programs. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality, ethically conducted in vivo experiments that inform critical decision-making in early-stage R&D.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and perform in vivo experiments aligned with study protocols and project goals
  • Monitor animal welfare and clinical signs, maintaining compliance with all ethical and regulatory guidelines (Home Office requirements / IACUC if applicable)
  • Collect and process biological samples (e.g. blood, tissue, organs) for downstream analysis
  • Record and analyse data using appropriate software; contribute to data interpretation and reporting
  • Maintain detailed documentation and study records in accordance with GLP/GCP standards, where applicable
  • Assist in the development and refinement of animal models (disease, efficacy, or pharmacokinetics)
  • Participate in the review and improvement of SOPs and laboratory procedures
What we are looking for:
  • Degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacology, Biomedical Science or equivalent
  • Previous experience in conducting in vivo studies in rodents
  • PIL ABC
  • Experience in dosing techniques, sample collection and welfare monitoring
  • Experience with disease models (e.g., oncology, inflammation, CNS disorders)
  • Strong understanding of GLP, GCP and 3Rs in animal research
