Job summary

Bonnington Johnstone’s Decorating Centre, a PPG company, is hiring a Sales Assistant for a permanent, full-time position in Edinburgh. You will help customers, learn product knowledge, and promote our brand while supporting a welcoming store environment.

You’ll be supported with in-store training, a structured bonus scheme, generous leave, and a pension plan as part of a team-focused workplace.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a customer facing environment is desirable.
• Good communications skills with a positive customer focusses attitude.
• Good understanding of IT systems.
• Flexibility towards working hours and duties.
• Driving license is needed for this role.

Responsibilities

• Colleague assistance programme for 24/7 wellbeing support and cycle to work scheme
• Serve customers on the trade counter and in store, in a friendly and professional manner
• Undertake all required training to help you to confidently select the correct product for our customers’ needs and to promote our brand.
• Ensure your store always looks well-presented and clean.
• Follow stock management procedures by taking in deliveries and keeping the shelves full.
