In-house Tax Assistant - Sheffield or Leeds

Great opportunity for a junior tax professional to make a move in-house. Our client seeks a tax assistant to join their in-house team. In this role you will work on a mix of corporate tax and VAT. Would suit someone who is ATT qualified or perhaps ACCA and wanting to specialise in tax.

Responsibilities:

1. Assisting the wider tax team with the management of the group's corporation tax, VAT, employment and other tax positions, risks and compliance obligations.
2. Assist the other members of the tax team with the preparation of corporation tax computations, including R&D claims, and the associated analysis to support those computations.
3. Assist the other members of the tax team with the preparation of employment tax-related returns (P11D, P11D(b) and PSA).
4. Assist the other members of the tax team with the preparation of the quarterly VAT returns and annual PESM submissions.
5. Maintain an appropriate controls framework in relation to tax compliance.
6. Assist with the audit process in relation to tax matters.
7. Assist with entity level tax provisioning and inputs into tax statutory reporting.
8. Assist with the maintenance of transfer pricing documentation.
